I'd rather + (verb)

I'd' is a contraction of the words 'I had' or 'I would.'

I + would rather +verb1st form- +object+than+verb1st form+
object
Kisi kam ko tarji dena
Pasand karo ga


When using it with the word 'rather' you are
suggesting you would like to do or prefer one thing more than another.




Here are some examples:





I'd rather play cricket than clean my room
Main cricket khelney ko tarji do ga bajaye apna kaprey saaf

I'd rather eat at home than go get fast food.
I'd like to eat at home than go get fast food.

main apney walidean ki suna pasand karo ga

If the verb is same, you do not have to repeat it

I would rather play cricket than play hockey
I would rather play cricket than hockey

I would rather eat biryani than eat Chicken Broast
I would rather eat biryani than Chicken Broast
