Difference between Yet and Still

topic: Difference between "Yet" and "Still"

Yet...is used for any action, jo abhe tak NAHEEN huva hai..

I have not reached Yet....abhe tak nai aya

I have not got my salary yet.....abhe tak salary nai aye

(is fikry main "yet" aik adverb k tor pay aa raha hai)

My salary is yet to be received/got....passive

yani koi action jo abhe tak nai huva hai.

yet...k sath hum "to be" ka istemal be karty hain...

England is yet to be defeated.

abhe England ko hraya jana hai.

yani koi aisa action jo abe tak nai hua hai.

Still.....is used for present...jo action is lamhay main bhe chal raha hai

He is still eating the food...yani

wo abhe tak khana kha raha hai.

(is fikray main "still" aik adverb hai)

Still....positive jumlay main ata hai.

jab k "Yet" negative jumlon main ata hai...

agar main Urdu main lafzi tarjuma karnay lagoon....to

yet....abhe tak

Still.....abhe bhe

Aik or baat ka yad rakhna bhe ahem hai....."Yet" aik conjunction k tor pay be ata hai.

agarcha who bemar hai. phir be who mery ghar aya.

Although he is sick, yet came to my home.

example with sentences::::

1...wo ab be khamoshi say mare madad karta rehta hai.

He is still helping me silently.

2...Pakistan nay abe tak India ko world cup main nai haraya hai.

Pakistan has not defeated India in the world cup yet.

3...Main us say ajj tak nai mila hon.

I haven't met him yet.

(till today).

4...wo abe tak so raha hai.

He is still sleeping.

5...Many usay kabe karty nai dekha hai.

I haven't seen him doing the work yet.

I have never seen him doing the work.

6...Usay tang na karo, wo imtehan key tayare kar raha ho ga.

Do not bother (tease)(disturb)him, he will be preparing for the exam.

7...wo ab be jhoth bolta hai.

He is still tell a lie.

Or

He still tells a lie.

8...Many ab tak imtehan key tayare nai shuru key hai

I have not started prepartion for the exam yet.

Or

I have not prepared for the exam yet
