welcome to English Grammar Section Today i will discuss about Phrase and Clause
the phrase and the clause
it makes sense ,but not complete sense such a group of words which makes sense , but not complete sense is called a phrase.
Example
The sun rises in the east
Humty durnty sat on a wall
There came a giant to my door
It was a sunset of great beauty
The tops of the mountains were covered with snow
Show me how to do it
Such a group of words which forms part of sentence, and contains a subject and a predicate, is called a clause
example
people who pay their debts are trusted
We cannot start white it is raining
I think that you have made a mistake.
There are eight part of speech
1. Noun
2. Pro noun
3. Verb
4. Adverb
5. Adjective
6. Preposition
7. Conjunction
8. Interjection.
